This is a graduate level department offering biology doctoral degrees in the following subjects. A Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree is the international standard, and is equivalent to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
D.Sc. Applied Biology (3 year program): This program teaches concepts in applied biology, that is the role of biology in medical, agricultural, and industrial applications. This is a multidisciplinary program that is intended to vest the graduate in a broad and useful education that will be useful in many fields of endeavor. It is the intent of Blue Marble University to avoid where possible the training of doctoral candidates with too specialized and too narrow a focus. Rather, graduates would be expected to be able to follow endeavors in a variety of different settings, including clinical, biomedical, research, industrial, and academic.
B.S./D.Sc. Applied Biology B.S./D.Sc. Applied Biology (5 year fast track program for High School Graduates): This program features 2 years of preparation courses in basic sciences leading into our regular 3 year doctoral program. Graduates receive combined Bachelor Degree and Doctoral Degree.
