Overview of the Program. Short and inexpensive, we delve into the almost forgotten field of homeopathic medicine. Primarily practiced in India and Malaysia, homeopathic medical practice in America has achieved popularity among veterinarians and treating farm animals. In addition, over the last several years, a renaissance in the creation and use of tinctures, and new cosmetic homeopathy products.  While we pay homage to traditional homeopathic medicine, our program is a complete updating of this field. We explore the modern homeopathic substances and preparations such as homeopathic cosmetics, homeopathic CBD oils and hemp extracts, the preparation and use of tinctures, and aromatherapy and natural perfume preparations. In short, we emphasize the creation and preparation of new products within the field of alternative medicine, of which homeopathic medicine is a part.

About Opportunities in the Field
Of Homeopathic Medical Science

This program is geared more toward independent thinkers, interested in further advancing homeopathic medicine through the creation and sale of their own products. Consequently, the Blue Marble University Bachelor in Homeopathic Medical Science program offers a pathway toward holistic self-development for those interested in promoting health and wellness through their own websites and creations of new homeopathic wellness products. Since this program leans toward the creation and sale of new products, we additionally emphasize studies in business models, how to set up a sales website, how to set up a marketing team and club. On the other hand, some graduates may find employment in specialty pharmaceutical companies beginning to promote natural and homeopathic remedies, or possibly even the food science industry. Some companies active in the Homeopathic Medicine Industry include:

Natural Health Supply
Boiron USA
HomeoLab USA
SBL
Hylands Homeopathic
Nelson & Co. Ltd.
Hahnemann Laboratories Inc.

Professional Licensing

This is extremely limited, if you are interested in treating patients one on one. The Blue Marble University Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Science [BHMS] is NOT intended for any clinical practice, nor to meet any licensing education qualifications. Rather, if you are interested in licensing as a practitioner, you would better served to consider a program such as that offered by the ACADEMY OF HOMEOPATHY EDUCATION. They offer an education program at a cost of about  $22,000 that leads to possible licensure through the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners.

Excerpted from https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/natural-non-prescription/regulation/information-homeopathic-products.html: Homeopathy Homeopathy is a holistic, health philosophy and practice. People who specialize in homeopathy are called homeopaths, though other complementary health care professionals also use homeopathic philosophy and products in the treatment of patients. At this time, Ontario is the only province that regulates homeopaths. Homeopathy is based on the principle of "The Law of Similars" (also known as "like cures like") meaning that a disease and its symptoms can be cured by a product known to produce similar symptoms. Products are intended to be used in low dosages based on the idea that as a homeopathic product is diluted, its healing effect increases. Homeopathic Products Homeopathic products come in many forms such as pellets, oral droplets, syrups, creams and ointments. These products are made up of substances that come from plants, minerals, or animals. These products are generally low-risk. Health Canada regulates homeopathic products as a type of natural health product (NHP). Health Canada reviews homeopathic products to make sure that they are safe and that the health claims (what the product claims to do) are supported by textbooks and other references used in the practice of homeopathy (e.g., pharmacopoeia, Materia medica).

Emphasizing Lab Based Exercises in Creating Homeopathic Products

Excerpted from Dr. hicks Brochure:• Constitutional labeling of the patient by the name of the remedy serves as a convenient shorthand nomenclature to capture the cascade of symptoms that comprise the patient’s existing pathology. • Illnesses characterized by an abundance of mental symptoms are often treated with ultramolecular preparations, which approach may simply be taking advantage of what is commonly known as the “placebo effect.” • Some biochemicals are quite active even in small quantities, for example, Epinephrine, Belladonal alkaloids, Lanoxin and ergot alkaloids and are therapeutic without further maneuvers. • Material doses and mother tinctures work in much the same fashion as any pharmaceutical would be expected to perform and appropriate prescribing and monitoring of these would be similar to that expected of their pharmaceutical counterparts. • While diluted preparations may or may not be effective, they can be said to be safe if prescribed appropriately by competent authority. • Homeopathic treatment is not considered appropriate for serious illnesses, such as cancer, heart disease, life-threatening infections or medical emergencies.
